Back home again in Indiana

And we're back, we pulled in around 6:00 am after driving all night and slept for a couple hours. We attempted to put the house back together but it's not looking good.
I missed our exploits on Thursday and Friday so I'll catch up now. Paula Deen has a restaurant in Savannah that Susan was dieing to eat at so we got up early so we could drive downtown and get our reservations. They start taking names at 9:30 and when we got there the line was already pretty long. Luckily we got a table for that night and went back to get ready for our dolphin tour. The dolphin tour was fun but Connor got a little sea sick so he didn't enjoy it as much as I wished he would have. I guess I had the wrong idea about what we were doing because the closest the dolphins got was maybe 50 yards, and they weren't doing anything amazing just breathing. It was neat but it didn't do much to hold the interest of a four year old.
So after our boat outing we got all gussied up for The lady and Sons, Paula's restaurant. We had to wait a while for our table but it was worth it. We all decided to load up on the buffet and I really was a glutton but I guess that's what vacations are for.
After check out on friday we went back to Savannah for a trolley tour of the historic district. I was a little apprehensive about this but it was really fun. We road around old Savannah for and hour and a half then ate at The Pirates House. We ended up leaving Savannah around 5:00 pm on Friday, so after potty, fuel, stretching and whatever else we ended up doing it took us 13 hours to get back.
All in all it was a great trip, but I'm glad to be home. Now it's time to get back to work and running and decide what I'm going to blog about next.

The crab hunters

Our safari to the wilds of Tybee Beach yielded some amazing finds. We practiced catch and release so we could battle with these crabs on another day.

playing catch up

Hey sorry about the delay in postings, but it is harder than I thought to fit time in to blog our adventures. We are having a great time and the kids are being really good. Tybee Island is amazing, I'm really glad we found this place. It is wednesday afternoon and we are just getting back from walking around downtown Savannah in the historic district. Tomorrow we are going on a boat ride to find some dolphins so that should be fun. The beach here is wonderful but Susan and I got a really bad sunburn on Tuesday so our beach time may be limited. Tonight we plan on going to the beach and trying to catch some crabs so we'll have some pictures of that to post hopefully. I'll try to update tomorrow and on our way back as much as I can. Thanks for coming along.

Georgia Aquarium and our road trip.

Well it's monday morning and we are sitting in our hotel. We will be checking into our condo later today. The aquarium was nice but really really crowded. I will post more pictures later and try to give a more in-depth report.

Only one day left

Hi, we're the Davidson's and we're blogging our upcoming trip to Georgia. Our cast includes Dustin Davidson(that's me), who will be playing the role of father, Susan Davidson his loving and caring wife. Connor Davidson, will fill in for the role of almost four year old son and finally Lauren Davidson who will be making her debut as one year old daughter/Peanut. Any extras in this production will probably be Ralph and Debi Davidson, both fine character actors with a long history of honing their craft.
Get ready for the mundane and mildly exciting life of our family as we set out in two days for our week long trip. Our itinerary includes a stop at the Georgia Aquarium and then on to the Gulf Coast. I will try to update as much as I can so please be patient and let me know what you think.
